We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of four of our students, Carmen (Year 1), Ellie, Elvis, and Shelby, who have been selected to progress to Round 2 of the prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad.
Out of 17,241 entries nationwide, they have secured places among the top 30 students in the UK. This exceptional accomplishment reflects not only their academic ability, but also their dedication, curiosity, and resilience.
This weekend marks the next stage of the competition, where they will face a demanding theoretical paper alongside a four hour practical examination. This phase is designed to test both intellectual depth and advanced laboratory skills, challenging even the most talented young chemists.
Beyond the competition itself, the experience offers something equally valuable. Students will spend the weekend alongside like minded peers from across the country, sharing ideas, building connections, and forming friendships that could last a lifetime.
As they step onto the national stage, we wish them every success. We are immensely proud of everything they have achieved so far and are confident they will approach this challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
Good luck to all four students, we are all behind you.
