Another outstanding set of A level results,
over two out of five achieving two or more A*s,
and one in five achieving straight A* grades for Maths and Science.
We are delighted to celebrate another outstanding set of A Level results this year, despite the challenging background of the last few years.
77.2% of entries were awarded either an A* or an A grade, with over half of all A level results this year awarded an A*, making it once again one of the top performing schools in the UK. Overall, almost half of the students achieved straight A*/As, with over one in five achieving straight A* grades.
These results are made all the more impressive as they are all in the most demanding STEM A-level subjects.
We are delighted that several of our students have confirmed their places at Oxford or Cambridge and that all our medics have secured places to read medicine. Alongside these, our students have gone on to gain places at outstanding institutions, with nearly all of them gaining offers at either Oxford, Cambridge, Russell Group Universities, or to read Medicine at their first choice of university; we are very proud of them.
“The outstanding quality of these A level results, achieved against the backdrop of COVID19, coupled with our students outstanding performances throughout the year in national and international competitions, confirms that The National Mathematics and Science College is indeed the best place to be for any young person who is truly passionate about Mathematics and Science.
The teaching they have received over the last two years have set them on an exciting path to great success, and we wish them all the best for the next stage of their exciting journeys”
