We are delighted to celebrate another outstanding success for our Year 1 chemists in the Avogadro Chemistry Exam.
An internationally recognised competition run by the University of Waterloo, Canada, six of our exceptional students achieved a perfect score of 100%, earning the remarkable distinction of being joint first in the world. Congratulations to Carmen C, Jessica F, Valerie L, Mikki S, Jane S and Elizabeth L on this extraordinary achievement. Attaining full marks in such a challenging competition requires not only an exceptional understanding of chemistry but also outstanding problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
We also congratulate Winston W, Chloe P, Music S, Eli C and Ingrid L, who all finished in the Top 10 in the UK in the Avogadro Chemistry Competition, each achieving a score of over 90%..
These exceptional results continue our Chemistry Department’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence and reflect the talent, dedication and enthusiasm of our Year 1 students. We are incredibly proud of all those who took part and look forward to seeing what they achieve next.
