We are delighted to celebrate another outstanding achievement by our Year 12 chemists following the release of the 2026 Cambridge Chemistry Challenge (C3L6) results.
Six students from The National Mathematics and Science College have achieved results placing them in the top 0.5% of more than 15,000 entrants, an exceptional accomplishment in one of the UK’s most demanding chemistry competitions.
The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, organised by the University of Cambridge, is designed to challenge the country’s most talented young chemists beyond the A-level curriculum. The competition tests not only subject knowledge but also creativity, analytical thinking, resilience and advanced problem-solving skills, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability at the highest level.
We are incredibly proud to congratulate Chloe P, Guangjia S, Jane S, Mikki S, Valarie L and Winston W on their exceptional performances. To have six students recognised among the very best young chemists in the competition is a remarkable achievement and reflects their dedication, intellectual curiosity and commitment to academic excellence.
Their success is also a testament to the culture of ambition and excellence that defines The National Mathematics and Science College. We are committed to nurturing talented young scientists, encouraging them to think critically, embrace challenge and pursue their passion for STEM subjects.
