Supporting our students with expert insights for a well-rounded Cambridge University application
This week, we welcomed Professor Jason Robinson and Uni Hive to the college for a STEM talk giving insights on the admissions process for Cambridge University with our students. Uni Hive Education collaborates closely with leading academics, researchers, scientists, and experts to provide high-quality study programs in research and academic learning.
The talk was led by Professor Jason Robinson, the Joint Head of the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge.
Professor Robinson spoke to our students about common mistakes to avoid, how to stand out from the crowd, and how to seek help when needed, with the aim of empowering our students to dive in and shine in their own applications.
By providing reassurance and expert advice, such talks help build the self-confidence our students may need to face the challenges ahead.
Our students also appeared to recognise the benefits:
“I found the STEM talk really helpful. It gave me a better understanding of how Cambridge functions. I felt encouraged by the emphasis the professor had on nurturing curiosity because I love gaining knowledge on different scientific fields. The professor was willing to answer my and other students’ questions in a way that supported it. I also appreciated the introduction to the different summer programs I could do to support my future aspirations as I work towards uni and beyond.”
