Celebrating Exceptional Success: Standout Achievements in Recent Maths Competitions
At NatMatSci, our mathematicians have a strong tradition of success at the Maths Olympiads, and this year is no different.
The International Mathematical Competition (IMC) has once again provided a platform for our students to excel. Among the impressive results, Egor earned an outstanding score, which secured him a place in the next-highest round of the Maclaurin Olympiad. Additionally, three other students from our community qualified for the highly competitive Pink Kangaroo round. This is a testament to their dedication and passion for mathematics. Well done to these students!
In other successful news, Congratulations to Daniil for achieving a perfect score in the British Mathematical Olympiad 2 (BMO2), being one of only seven people in the UK to do so.
The British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO1) is one of the UK’s toughest and math competitions, aimed at identifying the country’s brightest young mathematicians.
BMO2 is the second round of the competition, meant for students who’ve already demonstrated their talent in BMO1. The problems presented in BMO2 require not just mathematical knowledge, but also creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of advanced concepts. Achieving a perfect score in this competition is a rare and remarkable accomplishment.
Daniil not only excelled in the BMO2, but we are proud to announce that he has also received an offer from Trinity College, Cambridge, to study Mathematics!
Daniil is with three other students who have been successful in their applications to study Mathematics at Cambridge, and one has received an offer from Oxford.
- Bohdan has an offer from Jesus, Cambridge to read Mathematics
- Charlotte has an offer from King’s, Cambridge to read Mathematics
- Daniils has an offer from Emmanuel, Cambridge to read Mathematics
- Mehdi has an offer from Corpus Christi, Oxford to read Mathematics and Computer Science
The success of our students reflects not only their talent and determination but also the enriching and stimulating environment here at NatMatSci. We look forward to seeing even more success in the future.
As we celebrate these fantastic achievements, we’re also excited to announce an upcoming webinar! Don’t miss out on our free Easter webinar revision series, “Top Tips, Top Grades: Join Elliot Cole for 5 Essential GCSE Maths Revision Sessions!” These sessions are designed to help students prepare for their exams and achieve their best possible results.
