The Euclid Mathematics Competition is run by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo. It is acknowledged one of the most challenging of all international competitions aimed at 6th form students, and is sat by students from all around the world. This year, around 20,000 students took part. Take a look here for more information.
A stunning three-quarters of NMSC’s A Level maths cohort gained certificates of distinction, an award given only to the top 25% candidates. All NMSC’s students who entered the competition did brilliantly well enabling the College to be placed 71st and in the top 15% of the 484 participating international schools. We even made the local news!
We are also proud to announce that Joey Lu, a 6th form student at NMSC, was the only student in the UK to have his name enscrolled on the Student Honour Roll. Joey’s score places him within the top 1% of all students who entered the contest.
Our College is proud of all our students and is looking forward confidently to achieving excellent results in this year’s A-Level examinations.
