FAQ – EAL Summer School

What is this course about?
This programme is designed for international students aged 13–17 who want to improve their English while developing STEM confidence. Students develop English language skills, academic skills in science and maths, and confidence in an English-speaking classroom.

Who is the course suitable for?
This course is ideal for non-native English speakers, students interested in STEM, and students planning to study in the UK or abroad. Typical level is IELTS 3.5–6.0 or equivalent.

What will my child learn?
Students will develop scientific vocabulary, speaking and discussion skills, reading and writing skills, and academic confidence.

How is English taught?
Through STEM topics using vocabulary in context, speaking activities, structured writing, and interactive learning.

Is the course appropriate for my child?
Yes. It is designed for ages 13–17 and adapted for different levels.

Will my child receive a certificate?
Yes. Students receive a Certificate of Completion.

What level of English is required?
Basic working English is sufficient. The course supports development.
