Students and staff at NatMatSci Boarding School came together for an exciting afternoon of football during the annual House Football Competition.
The competition featured fast-paced 5-a-side matches with students from across the houses taking part alongside the reigning champions…the Staff Team! Every team played against each other before the tournament moved into the semi-finals and final.
After a series of competitive matches, House Geim emerged victorious in the final, defeating House Cornforth with an impressive 4-0 win to claim the title.
One of our students Max reflected on the event, saying:
“Really enjoyed playing with people who were united by the spirit of winning. It was also nice to play with different students and teachers who don’t usually play football but came to the competition to support their house. Also wanted to thank the audience for the inspiration!”
The atmosphere throughout the event was energetic and supportive, with the competition taking place in particularly good spirit as celebrations continued following Coventry City Football Club’s return to the Premier League after 25 years away, with celebrations taking place across the city over the last few days.
