We’re thrilled to celebrate an outstanding achievement by Team UK at this year’s International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2025) – bringing home 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals from the prestigious global competition! 🥈🥈🥉🥉🥉

Held annually, the International Physics Olympiad brings together the brightest young physics minds from across the world in a demanding contest of theory and experimental problem-solving. This year’s results are a testament to the talent, hard work, and dedication of the UK team – and we’re proud to share that NatMatSci was well represented on the international stage.

Two members of our college played an important role in this year’s event:

🔹 Kieran Lambert, our Head of Physics, attended in support of Team UK, offering guidance and encouragement throughout the competition.
🔹 Daniils, a Year 2 student with an offer to study Mathematics at Cambridge University, represented his home country Latvia – and did so with great distinction!

Their contributions exemplify the spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and excellence we aim to foster at the National Mathematics and Science College.

We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments – and we can’t wait to see what they do next.

Go NatMatSci physicists! 🚀⚛
