A glorious week of end of term celebrations – Leavers Prom, BBQ, Activity Day, Prize Giving and Cream Tea!

We enjoyed a fantastic week of end of term celebrations at NatMatSci. Lab coats were off as students and staff donned their finery for an evening of eating and dancing at our Leavers Prom at Nailcote Hall – Hotel, Golf & Country Club.
We reluctantly say a very fond farewell to our graduating students, and wish them all the best in their next academic adventures – keep in touch you will always be part of the NatMatSci family.

The NatMatSci activity day was a super fun end to a great summer term.

We had some challenging activities – the integration bee, language Olympics, mathematical orienteering in the woods, rocket making, archery and finished off with some fun races and games – including ‘Soak a Teacher’. We ended the day with a fantastic BBQ from our new caterers!

On the last day of term James Grime (Mathematician, lecturer, public speaker) joined us to judge the inaugural inter-house STEM video competition. James gave a talk entitled “Bits and Pieces: Secrets of a Digital World”, about codes, encryption and error correction as part of our prize giving assembly.

Our end of term assembly allowed us to celebrated the successes and progress of the students across the year, ending the day and the academic year with a wonderful cream tea, provided again by our new catering team!
