Jane Flynn, Director of Marketing and Admissions
We are proud to announce that Level Up, The National Mathematics & Science College’s digital marketing campaign, has been recognised with the prestigious Digital IMPACT Award from AMCIS (Admissions, Marketing & Communications in Independent Schools).
The AMCIS IMPACT Awards celebrate excellence in school admissions, marketing and communications, recognising campaigns that deliver meaningful impact through innovation, strategy and creativity.
AMCIS (Admissions, Marketing & Communications in Independent Schools) is the leading professional body for admissions, marketing and communications professionals working across the independent education sector.
Each year, the AMCIS IMPACT Awards celebrate outstanding campaigns and initiatives from schools across the UK and internationally, recognising excellence in areas such as marketing, communications, admissions and digital engagement. The awards highlight innovative approaches that successfully connect with school communities and deliver measurable results.
The judging panel praised Level Up, stating:
“This campaign distinguishes itself as innovative, strategically sound, and vibrant; its thoughtful consideration of the school’s unique student body and the character of its community is particularly compelling and shines through in the execution.”
The Idea Behind Level Up
The idea behind the LEVEL UP campaign was to celebrate our graduating students while inspiring the next generation by speaking their language. As a specialist STEM college, we embraced the worlds of gaming and fantasy role-playing to transform A-level results into an epic adventure, with students cast as the heroes of their own story. Inspired by the visual style of games such as Baldur’s Gate, the campaign used custom-designed character sheets, animated “level-up” graphics and fantasy-themed content to showcase student achievements in a way that felt authentic to our community. The creative approach resonated strongly with students, parents and prospective applicants, generating record-breaking engagement across social media and contributing to significant increases in enquiries, applications and enrolments.
We are delighted that AMCIS recognised the campaign’s creativity and impact, and we look forward to continuing to tell the stories of students who are ready to level up and unlock their next adventure. Thank you AMCIS, it’s a huge honour to be recognised in a year with so many great campaigns.
Thank to our Vice Principal, Jon Wingfield, for starring as our DM and to our students for the inspiration #STEM Heroes!
Outstanding Academic Outcomes
The Level Up campaign would not have been possible without the outstanding achievements of our students, whose results and destinations brought the campaignโs story to life.
