Our Head of Computing Martyn Colliver will manage the research project with the University of Warwick, which will see our classroom based theory linked to real world industry.
NatMatSci is delighted to have been selected to work with the University of Warwick as part of their Teacher Research Network, securing a grant from the Enhancing Research Culture fund of Research England. Our college will be looking to provide a period of curriculum time where all our subjects come together alongside a local industrial partner to work on real-world STEM.
The research will be looking into how this close collaboration of our college and local industry can enhance the knowledge, understanding and exposure of our students as they look to link classroom-based theory to real-world industry.
This research project is being managed by our Head of Computer Science, Mr Martyn Colliver, and will run over the next academic year with opportunities for findings to be presented at the annual Research In Action conference and into selected academic journals.
