Among the highest achievers are Rick 4 A* grades, who will be taking up his place at St Catherine’s Cambridge to read Natural Sciences, and Robbie 3 A* grades, who is to read physics at St Hugh’s Oxford. Aidar also achieved 3 A* grades to secure his place to read chemistry at Edinburgh.
The Principal, Antonia Giovanazzi said: “Our congratulations go to all our A Level students whose outstanding results are testament to their talents, diligence, perseverance and drive to achieve their goals. These results also reflect the expertise and commitment of our teaching staff who support, guide and mentor them so that they move on to their chosen university, equipped with the skills and knowledge to be successful leaders in their chosen fields”
We are delighted our students have secured offers at Russell Group universities to read STEM subjects, including: Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, Kings, St Andrew and Edinburgh.
The National Mathematics and Science College is a specialist STEM sixth form college which annually offers scholarship places to Gifted and Talented students in the Coventry area who demonstrate a passion and talent for STEM subjects.
One of our current local scholarship students Leo Fossett said: “I was originally going to take a gap year but since I received my results this morning, I’ve now decided to head straight for Medicine this year. I wouldn’t have got these results if I hadn’t come to NMSC and it weren’t for the fantastic teachers there. It was the best decision I made for A Level and I’m really excited for the future now”
Deadline for applications for full tuition scholarships is Wednesday 4th September. Successful entry to the scholarship programme is dependent on a mathematics assessment and an interview.
