The results of this year’s Euclid Mathematics Contest have been announced and our students have earned 10 certificates this year, with 3 students ranking in the top 3.5% of entrants globally.
Organised by the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing, the Euclid Contest is aimed at the top 25% of mathematics students in each school and this year there were over 24,000 entrants worldwide.
The top score in each school receives a medal from the University of Waterloo and becomes the School Euclid Champion. This year, we had 3 champions, who each earned the top score of 82.
At NatMatSci, it is a tradition that the College Euclid Champion from the previous year awards the medal to the new champion. Our 2018 Champion Robbie awarded medals to our 3 College Champions this year; Pacey, Alan, and Maria. Congratulations to everyone!
