Global Success for NatMatSci Students at the PhysicsBowl Competition

The PhysicsBowl is an annual competition, set by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) to stretch and test the most able school-level physicists. The competition is open to students from around the world and provides a benchmark through which to compare their performance, regardless of the differences in school and examination systems. This competition is both an individual and a team event.

Students at NatMatSci entered the competition for the first time this year.

Here are their amazing results:

Team Result

The best Year 1 team score of any school in the world outside the USA and China. Our Winning Team included: Hai Linh, Pacey, Bradley, Alan, Kirill.  All of these students will receive prizes from AAPT.

Individual Result

The best individual score of any student in the world outside the USA and China – Hai Linh.

Our students also showed tremendous strength in depth, with many individual students scoring extremely high marks.

As well as these, there were many other students achieving excellent scores in both Year 1 and Year 2.

Very well done to all the students who took part!

Our winning PhysicsBowl 2019 Team with a very proud Mr.Lambert
