These lectures are helpful for sixth form students thinking of applying to study medicine; as the series features speakers from a range of surgical specialties. The lectures contain themes around leadership, innovation, anti-bullying in the workplace and the ins-and-outs of working within the NHS. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to network with current medical students who have recently been through the university application process.
Such events help our students gain a greater understanding of the medical profession but are also incredibly beneficial for their personal statements and medical school interviews, helping them to stand out from the crowd.
The first lecture, taking place on Wednesday 20th November, will be given by Orthopaedic registrar, Simon Fleming.
