The National Mathematics and Science College is delighted to celebrate another outstanding set of A Level examination results, despite the challenging background of the last few months.

Almost two-thirds (63%) of results this year were awarded an A*, with 91% of entries being awarded either an A* or an A grade.  Overall, three quarters of the students achieved straight A*/As, with two achieving 4 A*s

Alongside these impressive overall College statistics, the unbroken record of 100% A*/A in Mathematics has continued for another year; with 100% A*/A also achieved by all the candidates taking Further Mathematics and Biology this year!

Two students achieved their offers of places at Cambridge to read Natural Sciences and Engineering respectively; with a third achieving her place to read Electrical Engineering at Oxford.  All of our students have gone on to gain places at outstanding institutions with all of them gaining places at either Oxbridge or Russell Group Universities and almost all achieving their first choice of University.

Whilst the process this year has been far from typical, we are incredibly proud of the students, and the results that they have achieved.

Incoming Principal, Dr Andy Kemp says:

“The quality of these results shows that The National Mathematics and Science College is indeed the preeminent place to be for any young person who is passionate about Mathematics and Science.  The teaching they have received over the last two years have set them on an exciting path to great success, and we wish them all the best for the next stage of their exciting journeys”.
