Welcome to our College Sports Programme

There are plenty of sporting opportunities available at the College, whether in the form of clubs, societies or trips.

Students are encouraged to create their own sporting Clubs and Societies to pursue additional sports or even to try something new. Examples have included:

  • Basketball Club
  • Football Club
  • Running Club
  • Dance Society

Students can also join local sports teams as part of their immersion experience, and we’ll help you find a relevant team. We can also arrange for individual sports coaching, for an additional fee.

Other Sports Opportunities

Students have use of the Excel Leisure Centre which is just a few minutes walk from the College, and has a swimming pool, sports halls, and outdoor pitches for a variety of sports. Students aged 18+ living at the Residence can also access a well equipped, state-of-the-art gym and attend yoga and fitness classes.

Both staff and students also take part in fun runs and charity sports events to raise money for local charitable causes including the Myton Hospice, annual ‘Santadash’ at Christmas

Clubs and Societies

‘Climbsoc‘, is one of our extra curricular clubs led by Dr Appleyard.

Our students follow a bespoke 5 week training course at the brand new climbing wall facility at the University of Warwick.  Students learn how to climb safely, tie the correct knots, fit a harness and belay another student. Learning these skills allows our students to register and have use of the climbing wall centre at any time!
