Academic Experience

NatMatSci is the UK’s only fully STEM-dedicated boarding school, offering a specialised education in STEM. With outstanding academic outcomes (87% A*/A at A level and 1 in 5 students progressing to Oxbridge), students learn in a highly focused and supportive environment. The summer school is taught by our year round staff so students have  the full NatMatSci experience.

For a short period, participants become part of the vibrant and ambitious NatMatSci community, joining students from around the world who share a passion for learning and discovery.

Boarding and Facilities

Our modern boarding residence is next door to the teaching centre and offers luxury single ensuite rooms, excellent catering in The Alchemists’ Restaurant and 24/7 pastoral care. Students enjoy superb facilities including kitchens, social lounges, a gaming area, coffee hub, study spaces and a gym.

Safety and Supervision

Safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. All staff members hold enhanced DBS checks and receive comprehensive safeguarding training, ensuring that every student enjoys a safe, supportive, and enriching environment throughout the programme.

STEM & Cultural Gateway: One or Two-Week, Pre-A-Level Immersion Programme,

Enhance your English skills in a STEM context. Focus on scientific vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing lab reports. Through interactive lessons, debates, and workshops, you’ll gain the communication skills needed for A-levels or university-level STEM study.

Summer programme for coding: The Science of Cryptography and Computing Ages 15-17

Dive into coding, cracking, and creating your own robotic world, for students ages 15-17

This one-week summer school immerses students in practical coding, cryptography, and robotics through hands-on projects and creative challenges.     Complete the online registration; you’ll then be contacted to submit forms via OpenApply. The registration covers all programmes so only one registration is needed.
    Secure your place by paying in full or with a £250 non-refundable deposit.
  • Payment is due 4 weeks before the course.
    Invoice payments are available on request.
